Primary Mandate

The Ministry of Women Affairs, Katsina State, is mandated to promote gender equality, empower women economically and socially, protect children's rights and welfare, and advocate for the inclusion of vulnerable groups in development processes across the state.

Women Empowerment and Development

Promote economic empowerment through skill acquisition, entrepreneurship support, and access to finance for women across Katsina State.

Child Protection and Welfare

Ensure the protection, care, and development of children through advocacy, intervention programs, and welfare services.

Gender Equality Advocacy

Advocate for equal rights, opportunities, and representation of women in all spheres of society including politics, education, and economic activities.

Vulnerable Groups Support

Provide support and rehabilitation services for widows, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable members of society.

Policy Development and Implementation

Develop and implement policies that promote gender equality, women's rights, and child protection at state and local government levels.

Community Mobilization

Mobilize communities to support women's development initiatives and create awareness on gender-related issues.
